Das Château Mcely ist ein von MICHELIN für das Jahr 2025 ausgewähltes Restaurant und Gewinner des MICHELIN Key und zählt aufgrund seiner hochwertigen Küche zu den außergewöhnlichsten Hotels der Welt. Der MICHELIN-Führer würdigte das Château Mcely als kulturellen Botschafter, der im Einklang mit seiner Umgebung steht und eine lokale Identität widerspiegelt, die architektonische Vision, fachliche Kompetenz, unverwechselbare Persönlichkeit und zuvorkommenden Service vereint. Unter anderem heißt es dort: „Das Château Mcely ist die moderne Fünf-Sterne-Inkarnation eines Jagdschlosses aus dem 17. Jahrhundert. Natürlich hätte sich der europäische Adel im Barock nicht auf das Land zurückgezogen, um dort in weniger als fürstlichen Unterkünften zu wohnen, daher ist das Schloss ausgesprochen palastartig. Ein Spaziergang durch die sorgfältig gepflegten Gärten rund um das Schloss vermittelt einen guten Eindruck davon, was einen erwartet: eine Hommage an ländlichen Luxus, die zugleich detailreich und verträumt ist – ein Märchen mit aufmerksamer Bedienung.“

Das Schloss liegt im Herzen eines fünf Morgen großen englischen Parks und des St.-Georgs-Waldes, 50 Minuten von Prag entfernt. Sobald sich die Tore öffnen, bietet das ursprüngliche aristokratische Thurn-Taxis-Anwesen den Gästen die Möglichkeit, ihre Sorgen hinter sich zu lassen und im Einklang mit der Jahreszeit ganz in den gegenwärtigen Moment einzutauchen – ganz gleich, ob sie Romantik oder Entspannung suchen oder zu einer Konferenz, einer Feier oder einer Hochzeit anreisen. All dies mit liebevoller Sorgfalt und nach ökologischen Grundsätzen. Für Komfort sorgen 24 Zimmer, von denen jedes seinen eigenen Namen und sein eigenes Design hat. Die Geschmacksknospen werden durch ein kulinarisches Erlebnis im seit langem gefeierten Restaurant „Piano Nobile“ verwöhnt, und Körper und Seele finden durch ausgiebige Behandlungen oder Massagen im Mcely Bouquet Spa, bei denen die hauseigenen, natürlichen und von Hand gemischten Kosmetikprodukte von Mcely Bouquet zum Einsatz kommen, wieder ins Gleichgewicht. Ergänzt wird all dies durch private Entspannung in der Sauna und im Außenwhirlpool. Im Sommer sind das Schwimmen im natürlich gefilterten See und das Entspannen im Mcely Summer Club besonders beliebt. Das Schloss bietet außerdem Zugang zu Tennisplätzen, Fitnessanlagen im Freien, einem Spielplatz, Kutschfahrten und weiteren Annehmlichkeiten.

The Princess Almeria Trail
Following a marked forest path, this trail leads you from Mcely to the neighboring Loučeň estate. This heritage nature trail restores the historic route used by Princess Almeria Thurn-Taxis after 1875 for her frequent strolls between the two chateaus. The route offers a unique tapestry of history, nature, and picturesque vistas of the Elbe lowlands. Along the way, you will pass the old waterworks, spring-fed alder groves known as “Bahna,” and the remarkable site of a Lusatian hillfort—one of the most significant archaeological landmarks in the region.
Tracing the Path of the Mcely Miracle
This circular trail begins and ends directly at the gates of Chateau Mcely and is marked with traditional red-and-white signage. The Mcely trail guides you through the village’s most captivating locations, revealing its history, natural wonders, and the spiritual events associated with the “Mcely Miracle.” It offers breathtaking views, encounters with local monuments, and a unique passage through the pristine Čtvrtě National Nature Reserve.
The Spring Snowflake Walk (Late February – Mid-March)
Just a short distance from the chateau, within the Čtvrtě National Nature Reserve, the forest floor is transformed each year into a breathtaking sea of blooming spring snowflakes. Thousands of delicate white blossoms line the Princess Almeria Trail, stretching from the old waterworks toward Loučeň, creating a truly ethereal seasonal spectacle.
