In the heart of Carinthia, in the village of Magdalensberg near Klagenfurt, we offer spacious rooms and 2 holiday appartements in our carefully restored 16th century castle manor.  

Quick in the city - holiday in the countryside

Klagenfurt am Wörthersee is easily reached for a shopping tour or a stroll through the historic old town with its southern flair and Europe's largest inland beach on the famous Wörther See is not far away either! Walk or cycle through the charming countryside of our village, the historical excavations on the Magdalensberg prove that even the Romans appreciated the mild climate south of the Alps and the beauty of the Carinthian surroundings. The medieval castle ruins of Zeiselburg are within easy walking distance.

 

Our guest rooms with their high ceilings offer space for up to 10 people. They are furnished with antique solid wood furniture, have old tiled stoves and original lamps, stucco work or parquet floors and fascinate with their unique charm. Each room has its own small bathroom and satellite TV; WLAN throughout the house. On request, we are also happy to provide our guests with baby cots. The metre-thick castle walls keep the rooms pleasantly cool in summer and ensure a restful sleep, while in winter a modern woodchip heating system brings comfort. A rich breakfast with homemade products and specialities from the region is served in the dining room with barrel vault and ensures the perfect start into the day.

 

Plenty of space

Around the house, the large garden offers plenty of space to play and unwind. Fragrant herbs, fruit and vegetables grow here - the basic ingredients for our handmade products, which are always available in the self-service farm shop.

Children are especially welcome here: whether jumping into the pool or playing in the garden - being loud is allowed here! Our young guests can expect a playground, many petting animals and a play corner.
