In harmony with nature

Sonnegg Manor, which has been owned by the Orsini-Rosenberg family for over 300 years, lies in a picturesque setting at the foot of the Karawanks, 550 m above sea level, nestling between southern Carinthian lakes. The sustainably managed business includes the letting of newly renovated holiday homes as well as forestry, fishery and shooting. The estate is surrounded by 120 ha forests and meadows and all guests will find a place for rest and relaxation in the extensive gardens. The tennis court (sand) is idyllically located in the midst of a meadow with old fruit varieties and there is also a pool for guests to cool off.

The little chapel is open for contemplative meditation as well as small family celebrations such as baptisms.

Vom großen Balkon der Ferienwohnungen – mit gemütlichem Essplatz – haben Sie einen traumhaften Blick über den weitläufigen Garten bis zu den Karawanken. Für Kinder gibt es ein großes Trampolin, Schaukel und Rutsche und eine Sandkiste unter Bäumen.

Fischerei – Vielfalt aus der Drau

The community area with St Paul’s monastery extends over eight kilometres along the right bank of the Drava, by the Völkermarkt reservoir. Fishing here is for carp, pike, catfish, pikeperch and coarse fish as well as crayfish. Fishing licences are available to buy from us.

There are many sports you can practice in the Jaunvalley: skiing, cross-country skiing and mountain biking on Mount Petzen, swimming in the nearby lakes, cycling along the Drava cycle trail, canoeing, hiking in the Karawanks Geopark and many more…
