Felder Alpin Lodge is a carefully restored 11th-century farmhouse, situated at 1,200 meters above Villanders, with unobstructed views of the Dolomites. A place where Alpine history remains tangible, yet interpreted in a contemporary way.

The house was renovated with great respect for the existing structure. Original wooden beams, solid stone walls and authentic architectural elements tell the story of its rural past, while the refurbished, light-filled rooms provide contemporary comfort through high-quality materials, clean lines and an urban sense of refinement. Balancing Alpine character with modern sophistication, a retreat has been created that radiates tranquility, warmth and distinctive charm.

The lodge can be booked exclusively and can accommodate up to six guests. It is aimed at travellers who value privacy and seek authenticity – far away from hotels, close to nature, history and genuine mountain culture, whether they are couples, families or a group of friends.

Optionally, your stay can be enhanced with a breakfast service or an evening meal prepared by a private chef. In this way, Felder Alpin Lodge becomes not just a distinctive house, but a truly personal experience.

29 to 20 days before arrival: 50% of the total amount will be retained, and the remaining balance will be refunded.

19 to 8 days before arrival: 70% of the total amount will be retained, and the remaining balance will be refunded.

From 7 days before arrival: 100% of the total booking amount will be charged.

History

Felder Alpin Lodge has a long and remarkable history: the Felderhof was originally built in the 11th century and is situated at around 1,200 meters above sea level, offering spectacular views of the Dolomites. The heritage-protected ensemble includes the original farmhouse and a rare traditional barn with a thatched roof—one of only eleven of its kind remaining in South Tyrol. Parts of the main house are over 500 years old, bearing witness to a time when rural architecture was crafted from local materials with meticulous workmanship. After purchasing the property, owner Tom Erlacher lived on the farm for nearly a decade, often without electricity or heating, before the historic building was carefully renovated in recent years and transformed into today’s lodge. Throughout the restoration, the historic structure was deliberately preserved and combined with contemporary design—creating a living example of how tradition and modernity can merge in perfect harmony.
