The Heyda manor is a pioneer of sustainability! The ancestor of the current owner family, Hans-Carl von Carlowitz, chief miner in Freiberg, was the inventor of forest management and continuous reforestation in the 18th century, so that future generations could also experience forests and harvest wood.<\/p>\n
The von Carlowitz family is still committed to this family heritage today and has been working continuously on the expansion of sustainable agriculture and sustainable accommodation since taking back the property in 1995.<\/p>\n

The former washhouse has had a real metamorphosis. For the renovation, the family mainly used natural building materials.
