In six spacious flats the owners welcome single travellers, couples and families. The rooms can be adapted to suit your requirements by adding extra beds. Whether single room, double room or holiday flat: you will feel right at home at Schloss Triestewitz.
In the fully equipped kitchenette, you can easily prepare coffee, tea or snacks. The private bathroom with WC and shower or WC and bath offers moments of relaxation.

From a fortress to a residential castle
The von Falke zu Triestewitz family owned the castle until 1555. Due to a lack of heirs in the von Falcken family, the castle reverted to the Elector of Saxony and was passed on to Melchior von Runge as a fief.
From 1557 - 1579, the von Runge family rebuilt Triestewitz Castle from a medieval fortress into a representative residential castle in the Renaissance style. In 1580 it burned down almost completely and was subsequently rebuilt by the von Runge family. In 1582, Hans von Runge built the village church, which was the patron church until 1945.
During the Seven Years' War, the manor house burnt down again in 1758. The ruins were sold a year later by the von Hartitzsch family, who owned it at that time, to the von Theler family.
Under Major Carl August von Theler, the manor house was rebuilt after 1764-1765.
In 1808, the von Stammer family took over the manor. In the 19th century, they transformed the park into an English garden.
In the process of land reform in September 1945, the von Stammer family was expropriated and expelled. In 1945, the Russians confiscated it and used it as refugee camp.
In 1995, the current owners bought it and began with a two-year general renovation.
