This heritage nature trail restores the historic route used by Princess Almeria Thurn-Taxis after 1875 for her frequent strolls between the two chateaus. The route offers a unique tapestry of history, nature, and picturesque vistas of the Elbe lowlands. Along the way, you will pass the old waterworks, spring-fed alder groves known as “Bahna,” and the remarkable site of a Lusatian hillfort\u2014one of the most significant archaeological landmarks in the region.
